The Civil Service College, in alignment with our commitment to leadership development, and in response to interest from aspiring leaders, launched an ILM Level 2 Award in Leadership & Team Skills in February 2022.
This level 2 course complements the internationally recognised ILM leadership & management training currently available through CSC at levels 3, 5 and 7.

The Award in Leadership and Team Skills is ideal for supporting new or aspiring team leaders – helping them make the transition from working in a team to leading a team.

The units in this qualification cover a wide range of skills, knowledge and understanding. These include units that focus on communication, working with people, providing direction and leadership, and getting results – from problem-solving to planning and monitoring workloads.
The course will be taught in-person over 5 months and will be structured as follows:
Online teaching time: 3 hours per month
Self-study time: 25 hours
Modules: Induction + 4 modules
Assessment: One assignment per module
This course is suitable for persons that are not yet in a management position but who aspire to move into such a position.
